"What do you think about something like this?" my fiancee's mother asked me, picking up a bra.

I wanted to run away but knew better, I wanted to tell the truth but knew better, so instead deflected. "The...the lace applique is very pretty," I said.

She looked at me, brow narrowed. "Of course it is," she said, "that's why I suggested it. My question is obviously more specific, what do you think about this for the wedding?"

"I...I'd hoped for something less...padded," I said.

She smiled. "In an A cup, the padding will be minimal," she said, "nothing for you to concern yourself with. "Say, Miss," she turned towards a saleswoman hovering, but not too close, "does this come in an A cup? I only see B and above."

The sales associate looked at her, puzzled. "We have it in an A cup, yes."

"Is there a matching garter belt for the set?"

"Yes, Ma'am," the sales associate said, walking closer, "you...you'll want that, too?"

"He's marrying my daughter, it's for the wedding day."

"Oh," the sales associate said, "usually the bride and her mother pick her lingerie..."

My fiancee's mother looked at the sales associate and smiled. "Of course, my daughter and I did that last month, she picked out a lovely white corset with garter straps and silk stockings. This is for him."

"H...him?"

"I apologize, I should have explained right away. He's a sissy, he'll be wearing wedding lingerie under his tux."

"Oh...oh," she sales associate said. "I...I imagine that will be quite the unique wedding night."

"Oh he'll be with me on his wedding night; my daughter will be with her boyfriend that night...can't leave a woman's wedding night to a sissy, can we?"
