Double

"What do you think?" my wife asked, holding up the pink bra for me to look at.

"It...it's pretty," I said, "I think you'd look nice in it."

She looked up at me, frowned. "For you," she said, "not for me. The bows are pretty, guys love that kind of thing, don't you think?"

"I...I suppose," I said, looking down.

"What?" she asked.

"You keep making comments like that," I said.

"Like what?" she asked.

"Comments about how guys will like something I'm wearing," I said. I looked down at the flowered dress I was wearing, thought about her comment earlier that morning.

"Wow, you're going to turn the guys' heads today."

"I'm just being honest," she said.

"Why would I care what guys think?" I asked.

"Girls always care what guys think," she said, "that's like kind of our job. Look pretty for guys."

"If you're dating guys," I said.

"Hmmm," she shrugged.

"What's that mean?"

"Nothing," she said.

"You make it sound like you think I'm going to date men," I said.

"I think this bra has a matching garter belt," my wife said.

"Monica!"

"I'm not saying you're going to start dating men, I'm just saying why be so closed to the idea."

"Because I'm...I mean...I'm not a...because I like girls," I said.

"Hon, I like girls too, but I date men."

"I'm married."

"I'm married," she said.

"That' different," I blurted out.

"Is it? Listen, I told you he's got this really cute friend, we could go out on a double date and just see what happens."
