Late night check in
Emily texted me a few minutes ago. "You up?" she asked.
"Yes," responded. But nothing from her. "You going to call?" I followed up.
"Nope."
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Not telling, love," she said. "Just have a second."
"You calling or texting later?"
"No," she said. "It's Valentine's Day, I need to focus on my boyfriend. I'll call tomorrow sometime if he's away for a few minutes. Not sure he's letting me out of his sight, though. Love you."

So now we have the latest rendezvous with Evan. With the same excitement, as well as the same angst, worries, no doubt sleepless nights .
Your recent blogs, prior to Emily leaving for Austin were sweet. Emily was loving and reassuring as we would expect.
The texts since she arrived did give me cause for concern, as you know how protective i am of you lol.
1. Emily refers more and more to Evan as her boyfriend.
2. Was it really necessary for her tracer to be turned off on her phone ?
3. Before they had even left the airport, Evan had indicated he wished to discuss "your relationship with Emily".
Seeing Evan 2/3 times a year clearly works for Emily (and you !) . It does not interfere with your everyday happy family life, and gives Emily the opportunity of being with a real man. It may not now be enough for Evan. He clearly wants more, and it is not enough just to see his girlfriend so rarely (although as an alpha male I suspect he is not sitting on his own at home pining!). He is obviously in love with Emily although she denies reciprocating, as she had opportunities many years ago.
When Emily decided not to reconnect with Matthew, she said "we could be playing with fire". Offering more to Evan could do the same. Will he continue to accept the role he has been offered so far ? Is Emily strong enough to resist his demands, and more important would she be strong enough to walk away if Evan is more persistent ? Being in a lovely romantic place, being treated as a Princess with great sex can turn a girls head .
